Awards Day at the Blue Mountain Foundation of Art was a very successful event.

The Gallery was full and the art was amazing. Ellie received a Certificate of Recognition from Mayor Sandra Cooper, a Certificate from MP Dr. Kellie Leitch and a cheque from the BMFA for $200.00

Blue Mountain Foundation of Art put out a call to all Ontario artists for their 32nd Annual juried Art Show, to submit up to two paintings each.
Ellie entered two pieces titled, " Georgian Morning " and " Collingwood Terminals Limited "
 Ellie's two pieces were accepted and she was informed she had won 2nd place for her piece " Georgian Morning ".
Ellie and I will be attending the Opening Reception and Awards Presentation in Collingwood on Thursday, April 5th from 5 PM - 7PM.
Ellie would like to thank the BMFA for their continuing support of local and Ontario Artists.
A Thank you as well to Juror(s) Denis Cliff and Don Stuart for their time and effort.
We will be updating the this Blog with photo's on Friday, April 6th of the reception.

Ellie and I have decided to enter comments on her blog space every couple of days.
These updates will keep everyone informed as to what Ellie ( and I ) are doing and are planning to do. We have many exciting projects in the works, including some that are 2 years away. Ellie is well known as an accomplished Wildlife & Landscape Artist and was chosen with other fine Artists for an article in Arabella's 2012 spring issue entitled " Artists Who Paint Snow " .
Deb Usher President & Editor-In-Chief of Arabella's Canadian Art, Architecture and Design Magazine www.arabelladesign.com purchased the two Polar Bear paintings " Beauty Beneath " and " Break Through " both paintings are
48" X 36" A/C. Ellie is currently doing a wildlife commission and is looking forward to painting more Landscape scenes for an upcoming show.
Both Polar Bear paintings can be viewed on Ellie's Web site in the Wildlife section.Ellie is well known as an accomplished Wildlife & Landscape artist and was chosen with other fine artists for an article in Arabella's 2012 spring issue entitled " Artists Who Paint Snow " .

Well its the launch of my new website and hope everyone enjoys it!  I have uploaded lots of new painting that I am very excited about and hope you all enjoy them.  I am also going to be adding a online store for purchase of prints, small canvas paintings and other artistic items so check back soon!
